Welcome to the "Forest at Ridgewood Homeowners Association". We are a gated and secured golf course community situated in Davenport, Florida just a short distance from all of the Disney Parks & attractions, Lego Land, and Universal Studios! Just two miles from the ramp to I-4, which will take you to anywhere that you want to be. The Forest is a family community where both active young and retired families are experiencing the joy of living a vacation atmosphere, year round!
Our 164 single family homes are found nestled within one of Florida's top public golf courses. The many lakes, and abundant wildlife add to the tropical ambiance and beauty of our tranquil and beautiful community. Our residents enjoy a heated community pool and tennis courts. The Forest is one of six communities that make up the Ridgewood Lakes community... Atria, Del Webb, High Vista, Ridgewood Pointe, The Forest, and The Gallery Condominium community.

New Facebook page for the neighborhood
Yes, we have set up an "Official" Facebook page. There is another page that has a few community members on it but that page has been
corrupted with mis-information and has locked the directors,
and those that can convey accurate facts on current community issue out. That is truely unfortunate.
The new page welcomes all those that live in The Forest at Ridgewood HOA neighborhood!

Polk County Water Shortage
On February 8th, 2026 - all Polk County Utilities customers will be required to follow a new once-per-week watering schedule.
The new schedule for watering and even car washing, etc... can be found on the Polk County website at this link. - https://www.polkfl.gov/services/utilities/water-restrictions/
Be aware that the new schedule is no longer based on the old odd even house number rules.
It's based on the last number in your house number.
Ends in 0 or 1 - Monday
Ends in 2 or 3 - Tuesday
Ends in 4 or 5 - Wednesday
Ends in 6 or 7 - Thursday
Ends in 8 or 9, along with common areas or a location for which an address cannot be determined Friday
Polk County vehicles have noted surveilling the neighborhood and the fine can be substantial.

Newly Confirmed Director
On December 22nd, 2025 the annual Budget Meeting was held.
During the meeting the 2026 Annual Budget was approved.
Edward Burdon was nominated and confirmed as a replacement for Board Member Lynn Rick, that resigned on June 27,2025.
He will function as Secretary for The Forest at Ridgewood HOA. Following Florida State Statute 720.306(9)(c).

Playground Update!
From Jedi - 5/24/2025
The Amarillo playground set received the most votes in our community poll,
and the set has been ordered for the community as of this week.
The expected delivery and installation will occur in the next 60-90 days,
based on information provided at the time of purchase. Once installed,
a border will be built, and a weed barrier placed with rubber pellet
underlayment being installed as this also received the most votes from the community.

Community Information Manager
This is a volunteer position appointed by The Forest HOA Board.
The CIM manages content on the HOA Website.
The CIM also facilitates communication channels between the community of home owners in the Forest, The Forest at Ridgewood HOA BOD, and the Management Company.
